Ahmad Faruq graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2012 and he was called to the Malaysian Bar in March 2013.
He has been in active practice in the field of litigation, in particular, civil and commercial litigation involving banking matters, commercial contracts, leasing and hire purchase, bankruptcy, company insolvency, recovery of debts, land disputes, land acquisition, torts, letters of administration and other general litigation.
In the course of his practice, he has been exposed to both contested and non-contested litigation matters involving land matters, enforcement of judgment, defamation suit, injunction etc. Apart from that, he has the experience in handling highly contested matters and rendering legal opinions for the corporate companies.
His exposures includes in the field of criminal litigation appearing for bail, mitigation, consulting and trial and exposed in running down matters, accident and other torts claims.
He handled various matters relating to conveyancing transactions including advising and drafting the sale and purchase agreement, in particular, sub-sales between individual and companies, transfer of ownership, and perfection of transfer.
He also has exposure in drafting and negotiation of tenancy and lease agreement, and other types of commercial contracts made between parties to their business needs.
